Key Responsibilities

• User Research & Insights

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors.

  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights, user personas, and journey maps.

• Product Strategy & Roadmapping

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define the product vision, goals, and success metrics.

  • Contribute to the product roadmap by identifying design opportunities and prioritizing features based on user impact and business value.

• Interaction & Visual Design

  • Create wireframes, user flows, high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes that communicate design concepts effectively.

  • Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products and platforms.

• Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering to translate designs into production‑ready assets, providing clear specifications and assets (icons, illustrations, animations).

  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to align on messaging, positioning, and go‑to‑market materials.

• Iteration & Validation

  • Iterate rapidly based on user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing results.

  • Define and monitor key UX metrics (e.g., task success rate, time on task, NPS) to measure design effectiveness.

• Mentorship & Leadership

  • Mentor junior designers: provide feedback, share best practices, and help them grow their skillsets.

  • Lead design critiques and workshops to foster a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience

  • 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS, mobile apps, or consumer‑facing web products.

  • Proven track record of shipping end‑to‑end features and driving measurable improvements in user satisfaction and engagement.

• Design Expertise

  • Mastery of industry‑standard tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Zeplin).

  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles, information architecture, and visual hierarchy.

• Research & Data‑Driven Mindset

  • Comfortable running user tests, interpreting analytics, and translating data into design decisions.

  • Experience with A/B testing and other quantitative validation methods.

• Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to articulate design rationale to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, fast‑paced environments.

• Accessibility & Inclusivity

  • Deep knowledge of WCAG standards and best practices for inclusive design.

  • Track record of designing products that are accessible to users with diverse abilities.

Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience designing for complex workflows or enterprise‑grade software.

• Familiarity with motion design and prototyping tools (Principle, After Effects).

• Background in front‑end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) or close collaboration with engineering teams on implementation.

• Knowledge of design ops and experience scaling design processes across multiple product teams.
